Accountability

Promises and actions

What parties promised voters, in their own words, and what they actually did — food relief, bursaries, construction, support — each with its evidence, its sources and the date it was last reviewed. The same evidence and attribution standard applies to every party.

Parties with published records

Alphabetical. Counts are per record type and status — they are not scores and are not added together.

No promise or party activity is published yet.

Records are researched from manifestos, speeches, interviews, party posts, credible reporting and official records, and published only after an editor other than the researcher approves them. Until then this page shows nothing rather than a partial picture. Every party’s page links here.

How to read these records

Promises are what a party or its representative said it would do, in their words, with the source. Party activities are what a party did — a separate kind of record, never counted as a promise kept or as a government project.
A status (Promises, In Progress, Completed, Not Started) is a finding on the review date shown, with its evidence. “Not Started” means a review found no verified evidence of implementation — not proof that nothing happened.
“Party claim · not independently verified” means only the party’s own statements are cited: it shows the party said it, not that it is true.
Credit is never inferred from governing a municipality, attending a launch or sharing a photograph. Who funded, implemented and delivered something is listed separately from who claimed it.
There is no score or ranking: a food-relief distribution, a housing commitment and a government project are not comparable. An empty list means nothing is published yet, not that a party made no promises or did nothing.
Records are published only after an editor other than the author approves them; corrections keep their history.
