Respond to the record

The person a record is about can respond to it. Responses are published beside the record — never instead of it — once Mandate SA has verified who sent them.

Contact details

Needed to verify who you are. They are encrypted on our server to a key held offline, never stored readable, never published, and opened only to verify a claim or reply to you. How long they are kept, and your rights: privacy policy.

How submissions are handled

  • Every submission is held for review. An editor checks it against official sources before anything is decided.
  • Official records — results, candidate lists, rosters, court records — are never removed or rewritten because of a submission. If they are wrong, a corrected official record is loaded and a correction notice is published.
  • Decisions (confirmed, partially confirmed, corrected or rejected) are published on the record page with a short explanation. Who submitted is never published.
  • Contact details are encrypted to a key held offline and kept for at most a year; your network address is kept only as a one-way code for 30 days, to prevent abuse.
