Make a real impact
A report becomes part of a public, checked record that anyone can point to.

- A moderator checks itEvery report is read by a person before anything is published. Reports that cannot be checked are not shown.
- It appears on the public mapVerified problems are shown by ward and municipality, so patterns in an area are visible to everyone.See reported problems
- Take it to the people responsibleFind your ward councillor and share the public record with them. Mandate SA does not contact municipalities automatically, so report it to them as well.Find my ward and councillor
Earn a contributor reputation
A free account keeps a private record of what you have helped to get right.
- Points are given only for contributions a moderator or editor has verified or accepted: a correction or piece of evidence about the record, a service problem, or a bug on this site.
- Nothing is awarded for simply sending something in, so the number cannot be run up.
- There are three levels: Newcomer, Contributor and Trusted contributor.
- Your reputation is private to you. It is never published, and there is no leaderboard or public ranking.
- Reports stay anonymous, so you add the reference you were given to your account to count it. Only a scrambled fingerprint of the reference is kept.
Spotted a mistake in the record itself, such as a wrong figure or name? Report a mistake. How personal information is handled is set out in the privacy policy.
